Casa Al Parco, also known as Casa Tognella is a high end luxury apartment from the 50’s located in the prime location of Milan’s center and adjacent to Parco Sempione. The building’s orientation and unique massing form provides hints to context oriented architecture. Playing with walls like membranes, the building is partly masonry, partly concrete with four different elevations.
The building is a free standing unit placed on a corner of the block with its North West Facade looking straight onto the park and South East Facade towards Castello Sforzeco. A modern piece of architecture with two masses shifted relative to each other, the building envelope and floor to ceiling windows sure provide splendid views. The public private separations, also explicit in elevations is enhanced by subtle setbacks. Elegant interiors complete the building.
